Description

Description Mauldin & Jenkins is seeking a Tax Administrative Assistant at our Galleria office to support both ofour Atlanta offices. The successful candidate will be personable, professional, and adept at multitasking in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining superior attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are a necessity – along with sensitivity to confidential matters. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Print, assemble, bind and/or proof various types of tax returns after preparation by staff E-file returns and coordinate receipt of authorization forms Organize, scan, monitor and manage client tax documentation (paper or electronic) Manage processes in SurePrep/Tax Caddy with clients and Client Executives Prepare and/or proof individual and corporate tax engagement letters, along with other types of correspondence to IRS and various tax authorities Process paper tax organizers as requested Assist with other tax processes such as new client setup, updating client info, etc. Prepare FedEx, UPS, and Certified Mail Other administrative duties as needed The following skills are needed for this role: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat (creating and editing PDF files) Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drives, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) Experience in public accounting or professional services firm is preferred but not required Willingness and ability to learn other proprietary software (preferred but not required are CCH Axcess, CCH Workflow [formerly XCM], SafeSend and/or SurePrep/Tax Caddy) Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines, ensuring appropriate follow-up and closure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Flexibility to work additional hours as needed during busy seasons
