Operations within our facility are 24 hours. This is a position that requires face-to-face relief with mandatory overtime. This position reports to the Security Manager.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Train new security officers /residential aide employees in all aspects of the facility.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Supervise security staff during your assigned shift, assigning breaks, post assignments, and duties</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Monitor access control and ensure effective use of the magnetometer and x-ray machine &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Respond to incidents and utilize crisis management to protect the safety of the staff and clients&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Make rounds throughout the facility and external premises to prevent, detect, deter, and report hazardous situations, trespassers, and illegal activities.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Respond to emergencies in person throughout the building, and provide guidance and support to line staff and subordinates. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Conduct daily security and fire safety system inspections&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Fulfill all job responsibilities of a Safety Security Officer in their absence.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain the safety and security of clients and staff.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provide crisis intervention when needed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist the Security Manager in preparing and executing fire drills.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Oversee AWOL family property pack up&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Monitor logging of client property to ensure accuracy&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensure that all managers are kept aware of critical incidents on assigned shifts&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Review log book entries, incident reports, and critical administrative responsibilities on assigned shift, checking for errors and ensuring accuracy &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Attend various meetings and trainings as needed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Check inventory of all assigned equipment daily, and investigate any discrepancies. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></span><strong>Mandatory Overtime Required</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform all related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Proof of education is required: High School Diploma/GED. 1-2 years of Supervisor experience required. A valid N.Y.S Security Guard License, Fire Guard License F80 Required, and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI). &nbsp;Must possess a general knowledge of security systems. Ability to solve problems; ability to make decisions based on factual information is a must. Knowledge of video surveillance and fire detection/alarm notification systems a must. Must be flexible on days and hours of availability.
