    "description": "<p><span>Under the direction of the Project Manager, the exempt Project Engineer will be respon­sible for the duties summarized below.  We are seeking an individual who understands the urgency of getting the job done and done correctly. The Project Engineer is responsible for the overall administration of the project.  The PE may be called upon to market company capabilities to potential customers and perform other business development activities.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Essential Job Functions</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Evaluates, tracks and updates job schedules. Communicates with subs and suppliers in regards to schedule dates and reports these communications to project staff</span></li>\n<li><span>Accurately prices and processes changes or proposed changes</span></li>\n<li><span>Assures compliance with contract and contract documents, including work meets quality standards and specifications;</span></li>\n<li><span>Obtains and submits all As-Built drawings, guarantees, warranties, and required operating instructions;</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensures that plans and specifications are issued to subcontractors and vendors and that contractor jobsite plans and specifications are current;</span></li>\n<li><span>Preparation of invitation to bid for complex trades;</span></li>\n<li><span>Assists PM in cost control, procurement of goods and services including bid solicitation and negotiation and preparation of subcontracts;</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist Superintendent with facilitating RFI’s and missing contract documents;</span></li>\n<li><span>Resolves punch-list issues</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>-Minimum 1 year progressive experience in commercial building construction as a Project Engineer.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>-College Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>-Knowledge of contractual obligations, insurance, general conditions is necessary.  This position requires strong personal computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, Word and Bluebeam.  Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and non-employees at all levels.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>S.J.
