We encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our vibrant campus community today!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n <p>At the <b>University of Wyoming</b>, we are committed to creating a supportive and enriching workplace.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<p><b>JOB TITLE: &nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>CASM Tutor</p>\n<p><b>JOB PURPOSE: </b> &nbsp;</p>\n<p>Provide support to students with questions in mathematics and/or statistics for the Center for Assistance with Statistics and Mathematics (CASM).</p>\n<p>JFNTMP</p>\n<p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>Tutor for Center for Assistance with Statistics and Mathematics (CASM), and, if assigned, tutor for STEP and/or STEP Satellite.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>As a tutor, primary job responsibilities will be addressing student questions regarding their math/stat courses.</li>\n <li>Tutors will be required to follow and enforce CASM policy and procedure, and if assigned to STEP or STEP Satellite, follow and enforce STEP policy and procedure.</li>\n <li>Tutors will need to have excellent time management skills.</li>\n <li>Tutors need to be excellent and flexible communicators via email, and in-person.</li>\n <li>New tutors are required to attend regular tutor content trainings.</li>\n <li>New tutors are required to attend CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) trainings unless they have a Level 1 certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: Some college</li>\n <li>Experience:  Some college math/stat and/or tutoring experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge proficiency in mathematics up to Calculus II and/or Fundamentals of Statistics</li>\n <li>Must be a currently enrolled UW student.</li>\n <li>For math tutors successful completion of Calculus 1-3 with a B average or higher OR Calculus 1-2 with a B average or higher and prior tutoring experience.</li>\n <li>For stat tutors successful completion of Stat 2050 (Fundamentals of Statistics) or equivalent with a B or higher AND either additional statistics experience OR math and programing experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  &nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>Previous Tutoring Experience</p>\n<p><b>REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS: </b></p>\n<p>Complete the online application.&nbsp; The department additionally requests candidates upload the following document(s) for a complete application:&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Cover letter&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Resume or C.V.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contact information for four work-related references (references will only be contacted if you are selected as a finalist for the position).</li>\n</ol>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>WORK LOCATION:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p><b>On-campus:</b> This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n <div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n  <p><b>HIRING STATEMENT/EEO: </b> &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n  <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
