The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency in diesel engine systems, hydraulic setups, troubleshooting, and safety standards in heavy-duty fleet environments. This role is essential to supporting Ecology's diverse fleet of trucks and trailers to ensure uptime, safety, and operational excellence.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>Perform professional installation of wet kits, hydraulic pumps, tanks, lines, valves, and PTO systems on Class 8 diesel trucks.</li><li>Conduct diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting leaks, pressure failures, and mechanical malfunctions.</li><li>Service, inspect, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components in accordance with OEM standards.</li><li>Collaborate with senior mechanics and management on build specifications and install configurations for various truck body applications.</li><li>Ensure all hydraulic and mechanical work is completed to DOT safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation of work orders, parts usage, and service notes in the maintenance system.</li><li>Use hand tools, diagnostic software, welding equipment, and hydraulic testing gauges as necessary for repairs and installs.</li><li>Monitor inventory of hydraulic parts and recommend restocking when needed.</li><li>Support other maintenance operations including preventative service, emergency repairs, and inspections as assigned.</li><li>Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and toolbox talks to promote a safe and compliant working environment.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
