We provide the right service at the right time, delivered by people with lived experience. We transform behavioral health systems through innovation, creativity and collaboration. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet patients and prepare them for medical provider examination to include obtaining medical history and vital signs Support nursing staff, case managers, and clients. Coordinate and schedule medical appointments for clients Obtain medical records ensuring ROI's are in place, scan records into EMR. Perform lab draws, ensure proper orders are in place, and follow up on lab results S anitize, restock and organize exam rooms, supply rooms and clinical care areas Prepare medication orders and refills in the e-prescribing system per the request of the medical provider Answer phone calls in a professional manner and schedule appointments Work with Medicaid and other insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for medications and visits and obtain copay information Maintain medical supply inventory to include placing orders and verifying receipt Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations Remain current on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Assist medical providers in administrative and/or other clinical tasks as needed REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Completion of MA program or equivalent, one year related experience preferred CPR certified or willing to become certified through an accredited program Possess a basic understanding of clinical pharmacology and medical terminology Previous experience with scheduling patients, answering phones, ordering and managing supplies Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction and other mental disorders Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population and also the ability to remain professional with both patients and staff Knowledge of alcohol use disorder and drug addiction as a disease that requires medical support Ability to interact with patients, families and others in an empathetic, respectful and friendly manner Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing.
