Compensation Salary Range: $39.40 - $59.36 per hour The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Scope of work to include; managing the daily operations of the Environmental Services and Laundry operations, weekly planning as well as strategic planning for the departments in coordination with the Facility Master Plan. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum three (3) years related experience and/or training in Environmental Services Minimum one (1) year experience in supervising, management and leadership Preferred: DNV and Title 22 knowledge Equipment, product and supply knowledge Chemical and blood borne pathogens training Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Ensures that the environmental services and laundry departments are in compliance with DNV and Title 22 in regards to all operations, standards of quality, compliance, safety and infection control standards. Ensures departments are maintaining appropriate supply par level and ensures products and equipment is stored within regulation and to code. Established standards, procedures and processes for the work of the environmental services and laundry teams. Ensures that all employees are trained and in compliance with the DNV, ISO9001, Title 22 and Exposure Plan while maintaining training records, compliance training, safety training and annual marathon. Responsible for administration of department including—recording keeping, documentation, payroll records, performance reviews, annual budget and all other action regarding personnel and department. All paperwork is filled out correctly, kept up to date and completed in an accurate and efficient manner. Develops and implements approved department policies and procedures. Develops and implements a performance improvement plan for the department. Ensures that all job tasks related to processing linen are followed through during the shifts and flow of linen is managed on a day to day basis per need of the hospital. Represent the department at required meetings and ensuring pertinent information is communicated to the department creating an inclusive and transparent culture. Responsible for proactively addressing OSHA regulations, health system safety protocols and understands the process of addressing potential or actual injury situations following Community Memorial Healthcare policies, processes and procedures. Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service to each unit while maintaining all areas of cleanliness throughout the hospital. Inspects and evaluates physical condition of the hospital, the unit and the grounds to establish and maintain a superior product presentation. Develops and submit recommendations for painting, repairs, and furnishings, relocation of equipment and reallocation of space. Periodically coordinates inventories of operating supplies, equipment and product used throughout the hospital. Works closely with Infection Control on current product and processes while utilizing this relationship to recommend future products and/ or processes in the cleaning of the hospital and the health system. Works closely with Materials Management to select, price and purchase new and existing products. Ensures equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly fashion at all times. Ensures equipment PM schedules are followed for all equipment and other EVS issues while maintaining records to reflect this. Reports repairs immediately to the engineering department and respective director; may need to trouble shoot issues prior to report and maintain accurate records to reflect statuses. Maintains a neat, clean and highly organized work environment ensuring the staff understand and comply with all expectations. Quality control, supplies management, linen management and expense control are paramount. Develops and maintains a skilled work team who complete assigned duties in a efficient and cost effective manner. Ensures compliance training, certifications and evaluations are completed in a quality and timely manner. Selects, trains and maintains a productive, knowledgeable and engaged team. Ensure daily meeting events and space are communicated and set through effective use of the departmental leads and employees in the department. Preforms other duties as assigned.
