Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing product quality across manufacturing and field operations. This role monitors in-process and pre-shipment quality, manages field-reported concerns, and drives root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product and service issues. The Quality Manager serves as a key point of coordination for quality communication, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Quality Oversight Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout manufacturing and prior to shipment Ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications Partner with production teams to identify defects and implement corrective actions Field Quality Management Serve as the primary point of contact for field-reported quality concerns Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions Communicate corrective actions and timelines to internal stakeholders Shipping & Service Issue Resolution Monitor service-related issues including short shipments, mis-shipments, and damaged goods Conduct root cause analysis related to picking, packing, labeling, and loading processes Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to implement corrective and preventive actions Track trends and support efforts to reduce recurring issues Reporting & Data Analysis Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and shipping data Maintain reporting dashboards and performance summaries Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership Continuous Improvement Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives Identify trends and implement process improvements Support the development and maintenance of quality standards and procedures Core Competencies Root Cause Analysis Process Improvement Cross-Functional Collaboration Attention to Detail Data Analysis & Reporting Problem Solving & Decision Making
