You will bring strong operational rigor and technical accounting judgment to keep the books clean, issues surfaced early, and decisions well-documented.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead the monthly close process, delivering accurate journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and commentary in a timely manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead external audit and review processes as primary liaison, ensuring timely and efficient completion.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, credit card programs, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and day-to-day banking activity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain audit-ready documentation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Manage tax compliance activities, including GST/HST filings, payroll tax compliance, and required regulatory filings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Manage cash and banking execution, including cash monitoring, ACH/wires, deposits, and bank reconciliations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead supplier costing, including cost analysis and the implementation of optimized costing systems and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead administration of finance systems (e.g., Xero and related tools), including access controls, integrations, and approvals workflows.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Optimize and administer the finance tech stack with IT/Operations (e.g., Dext, Plooto, Float, ApprovalMax, payroll, billing), ensuring clean integrations and data flows.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Drive continuous improvement through process redesign, automation/AI, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">CPA designation required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and leading month-end close</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS) and tax regulations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
