Responsibilities</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span><span>As a </span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Senior Geotechnical Engineer</span></span></span><span><span>,</span><span> </span><span>you will</span><span> have technical, commercial a</span><span>s well as </span><span>research and development </span><span>responsibilities </span><span>for</span><span> projects across our portfolio of work.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Typical </span><span>responsibilities </span><span>include:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Solving civil engineering problems related to planning, development, </span><span>design</span><span> and construction of offshore wind farms</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Supporting</span><span> clients in</span><span> </span><span>preparation, execution and</span><span> technical</span><span> management of </span><span>offshore and nearshore </span><span>geotechnical field and laboratory survey campaigns</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Specifying and processing laboratory test results (advanced and cyclic)</span><span> and performing </span><span>review and </span><span>quality control of large datasets</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Undertaking </span><span>geotechnical</span><span> interpretation of </span><span>in-situ</span><span> and laboratory data</span><span> efficiently</span><span> and preparing</span><span> interpretive reports and geotechnical design profiles</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Undertaking s</span><span>oil structure interaction</span><span> analyses</span><span> and geotechnical foundation design</span><span> adopting commercial and in-house design and installation tools</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Designing scour protection</span><span>, undertaking cable burial</span><span>,</span><span> seabed</span><span> </span><span>mobility</span><span> and design seabed level studies</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Prepar</span><span>ing</span><span> Design Briefs and engage in certification process</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support</span><span>ing</span><span> technical leads on projects from concept stage through to detailed design</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Engag</span><span>ing</span><span> </span><span>and support</span><span>ing</span><span> </span><span>internal and external </span><span>research and development</span><span> </span><span>(</span><span>R&amp;D</span><span>)</span><span> activities</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Contributing to the development of in-house geotechnical interpretation and design </span><span>software </span><span>tools and their </span><span>cross-disciplinary</span><span> integration</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Defin</span><span>ing</span><span> and communicat</span><span>ing</span><span> findings and risks to management, external </span><span>stakeholders</span><span> and internal </span><span>engineering teams</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Required Experience &amp; Qualifications</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>As a Senior </span><span>Geotechnical</span><span> </span><span>Engineer</span><span> you </span><span>must</span><span> be able to </span><span>demonstrate</span><span> the following:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A</span><span> </span><span>M</span><span>aster's</span><span> degree or PhD in civil</span><span> or</span><span> geotechnical engineering </span><span>or </span><span>equivalent</span><span> with </span><span>minimum</span><span> of </span><span>7 </span><span>years </span><span>of relevant experience as a professional engineer</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A</span><span>re highly </span><span>numerate and have experience of developing/writing your own </span><span>scripts</span><span> using programs such as MATLAB</span><span> and</span><span>/or</span><span> Python</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Understand</span><span> laboratory testing including basic and advanced tests</span><span> of soils and rocks</span><span>, with the ability to manage labs and develop lab testing specifications</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>H</span><span>ave knowledge</span><span> and </span><span>experience </span><span>in</span><span> </span><span>interpretation of </span><span>geotechnical</span><span> data for derivation of </span><span>input </span><span>design parameters </span><span>related to offshore windfarm engineering</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Have experience with soil structure interaction design methodologies</span><span> for offshore wind</span><span>farm</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>P</span><span>ossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Beneficial / Desirable Experience</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The following are </span><span>advantageous</span><span> but not essential:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Native-level or fluent</span><span> Korean (spoken and written).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Have experience with design and installation of monopiles, pin piles and suction caissons.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Regional geotechnical </span><span>experience</span><span> with knowledge of the </span><span>Korean</span><span> design guidance and stan</span><span>dards</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Have experience with design codes/guidelines such as API, Eurocode, DIN, DNV-OS-J101.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Location &amp;
