    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Finance Associate.</strong></p>\n<p>This important role supports the Capital Markets team in securing funding for rental housing loan programs through tax-exempt and taxable bond issuances, financial analysis, disclosure reporting, and compliance activities related to bond financing.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities include supporting bond financing transactions, preparing offering and rating agency materials, collaborating with underwriting and legal teams to prepare loans for financing, participating in interdivisional loan meetings, and conducting financial analysis including yield runs, cash flow analysis, loan pricing, and data reporting using systems such as Prolink and DBC Housing.</p>\n<p>Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s leading housing finance agencies. Educational opportunities to help your advancement are available through classroom and online programs.</p>\n<p><strong>To be successful in this role you must possess</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Engineering or other relevant degree and/or applicable work experience is required.   </li>\n <li>A minimum of 3 years of experience in business, finance, lending, or other relevant areas.</li>\n <li>Experience analyzing complex commercial transactions, evaluating financial instruments, managing legal and transactional risks, and participating in agreement negotiations.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Private Activity Housing Bonds is a strong plus.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with DBC Housing software is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience engaging with investors and the broker/dealer community is a plus.</li>\n <li>Prior experience working with rating agencies is preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with municipal housing bond issuance is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience structuring, underwriting, and executing multifamily securitizations, including coordination with rating agencies, investors, and internal credit teams.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of tax-exempt bond compliance requirements is preferred.</li>\n <li>The ability to identify key financial, legal, and operational risks and effectively summarize issues and options for executive-level decision-making.</li>\n <li>Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure.</li>\n <li>Excellent judgment, professionalism, and accountability, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, decisions, and outcomes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Applications and resumes are accepted online only at <strong>http://www.virginiahousing.com/careers</strong><strong>.</strong> </p>\n<p>This position will close at midnight on 5/29/2026</p>\n<p>Hiring Range: $109,000 - $147,500</p>\n<p>A background check will be performed as a condition of employment. </p>\n<p>A Conflict-of-Interest Act Disclosure form and Secondary Employment Disclosure form will need to be completed as a condition of employment.</p>\n<p><strong>Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia.</strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Internal applicants</u></strong><u>  </u></p>\n<p>(MR-9) Please review relevant HR policy under 'Employment Practices' on the Zone before applying.  </p>\n<p>Apply through the Zone or at http://employees-virginiahousing.icims.com/.</p>\n<p>-EOE-</p>\n<p>V3 Certified Military friendly employer</p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid</p>\n<p>#LI-CP1</p>\n<p> </p>",
