From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Step into Your New Role</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Kleinfelder's Houston, Texas office is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join our Red River CoMET</strong><strong> team.</strong> We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. </p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing testing on concrete, soil,  and other construction materials in accordance with applicable standard test methods </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reporting verification of conformance to approved plans and specifications </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, technicians, and other design professionals </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintenance of Kleinfelder's local lab accreditations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform field observations and testing on materials testing projects to verify conformance to the construction plans and specifications. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Submitting daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Requirements and Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Minimum 3+ years of laboratory experience in CoMET or equivalent</strong></li>\n <li><strong>ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I</strong></li>\n <li><strong>ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician</strong></li>\n <li><strong>ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to use a company provided laptop or iPad and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Authorization to work in the United States </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Bend and lift up-to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.) </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Certifications include:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> High school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred. </p>\n<p>This is a career opportunity to become a member of a highly successful, fast-paced team with a steady and growing backlog of large projects. </p>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder</strong></p>\n<p>Kleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
