Takasago ranked 8th overall and 1st in Asia on the Global Top Food Flavors and Fragrances Companies.</p><p>We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, Biological Sciences R&amp;D position located in Rockleigh, NJ. &nbsp;The Manager, Biological Sciences R&amp;D position entails managing biology team members which includes training and mentoring junior team members. It requires directing, coordinating and managing biology R&amp;D projects and biology related service requests.</p><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Responsible to develop new technologies, methods and intellectual property to anticipate and support Takasago&#39;s business needs.</li><li>Develop in vitro lab as well as in home use test methods. Data analysis, interpretation, consult and trouble shoot technical and/or project related issues, formulating next steps to develop the projects.</li><li>External and internal support and collaboration with cross division teams, global alignment on methods and results are expected.</li><li>Presentations and reports writing to both external and internal customers are also expected.</li><li>Oversee administrative and legal issues related to biology R&amp;D.</li><li>Regular review of the competitive landscape and scientific literature.</li><li>Other duties as needed.</li></ul><p>Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in biological sciences and PhD degree in Microbiology or Psychology, Neuroscience, Sensory Science, Psychophysics is preferred with commensurate experience.</p><p>Experience: The ideal candidate would have at least a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in biological sciences with 7+ years&rsquo; direct experience in the fragrance &amp; flavor or related industry. Or more preferably a Masters or PhD degree in Microbiology or Psychology, Neuroscience, Sensory Science, Psychophysics and with commensurate experience.
