Our work is grounded in community values, and our team is united by a shared commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a dedicated <strong>Addiction Medicine Physician, MD or DO</strong> to deliver comprehensive care in an ambulatory setting, with a strong focus on <strong>Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) </strong>and whole person wellness.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><p><strong>Clinical Care &amp; Patient Support</strong></p><ul><li>Provide full spectrum medical care, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions</li><li>Lead and manage <strong>Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) </strong>programs for patients with substance use disorders</li><li>Evaluate and manage co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions</li><li>Support patients through withdrawal and recovery with evidence based, compassionate care</li><li>Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community resources to ensure continuity of care</li><li>Precept and mentor medical residents and students</li><li>Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and organizational initiatives</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Teamwork</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with a supportive team of medical providers, precepting mid-level clinicians as needed.</li><li>Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and provide backup consultation to fellow PTHA providers.</li><li>Engage in Peer Review, quality improvement initiatives, and organizational reporting processes.</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Mentorship</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a preceptor for medical students and residents, supporting the PTHA Family Medicine Residency Program.</li><li>Collaborate with medical schools as adjunct faculty when available.</li></ul><p><strong>Hospital &amp; Community-Based Care</strong></p><ul><li>Perform hospital rounding for PTHA patients as scheduled (rounding only).</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance, Professionalism &amp; Cultural Respect</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism, self-care, and respect for Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values.</li><li>Support infection control protocols and safety requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.</li><li>Board certified in Family Medicine and current WA State license to practice medicine.</li><li>Successful completion of an addiction medicine fellowship preferred.</li><li>Five (5) years' experience in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.</li><li>Current ACLS and/or PALS and/or ALSO certification.</li><li>Experience with Electronic Health Records.</li><li>Experience teaching or precepting medical residents.</li><li>Commitment to teamwork, cultural humility, ethical standards, and high-quality care.</li><li>A genuine heart for service and respect for the Indigenous community.</li></ul><p><strong>Why PTHA?</strong></p><p>We are more than a clinic — we're a culturally grounded, patient-first health and wellness center serving the Indigenous community.
