This role provides direct supervision to pipe crew members, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor serves as a leader, trainer, and communicator between field crews, project managers, and equipment operators.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Crew Supervision &amp; Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct, schedule, and oversee the daily activities of the pipe crew.</li>\n<li>Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide hands-on instruction when necessary.</li>\n<li>Train, coach, and evaluate crew members, promoting skill development and accountability.</li>\n<li>Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes safety, respect, and productivity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project &amp; Task Oversight</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure proper installation.</li>\n<li>Oversee excavation, trenching, pipe laying, bedding, backfilling, and compaction.</li>\n<li>Verify correct pipe type, alignment, slope, and depth per project specifications.                   </li>\n<li>Track and report material usage, crew hours, and daily production to project management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and trench safety/shoring practices.</li>\n<li>Conduct weekly safety meetings and job hazard analyses (JHAs).</li>\n<li>Ensure proper use of PPE, equipment, and safe work practices at all times.</li>\n<li>Monitor and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Coordination &amp; Communication</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate project managers regarding schedule, priorities, and resources.</li>\n<li>Communicate clearly with equipment operators, truck drivers, and subcontractors to maintain efficient workflow.</li>\n<li>Provide updates on progress, delays, and workforce needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment &amp; Quality Control</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and maintained.</li>\n<li>Perform spot checks with lasers, grade rods, and levels to confirm proper installation.</li>\n<li>Maintain records of inspections and corrective actions taken.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies &amp; Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership and supervisory skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret construction documents and grade stakes.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of underground utility installation techniques and standards.</li>\n<li>Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.</li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3–5 years of underground utility/pipe crew experience.</li>\n<li>1–2 years of experience in a lead, foreman, or supervisory role preferred.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
