Responsibilities Duties Deliver advanced, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients ranging in age from neonate to 18 years. Provide support to physicians during complex and potentially life-threatening procedures, including cardioversion and the insertion of invasive lines such as arterial, venous, and pulmonary artery catheters. Prepare and administer high-risk medications as well as intravenous fluids, in support of initiating advanced cardiovascular life support interventions. Assess patients cardiac output, vital signs, peripheral perfusion, and level of consciousness, and evaluate blood gas results, including arterial and mixed venous oxygen saturation. Assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions based on patient responses and modify the care plan as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Design Family Nursing Care Plans to support critically ill patients and their families in achieving the highest possible level of physiological, sociological, and psychological. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Licensure: A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and you must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
