All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.</p>\n<h2>Duties, Responsibilities & Other</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: </strong></p>\n<p>The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) is responsible for implementing, managing, and documenting all Quality Assurance (QA) activities on VDOT transportation and infrastructure projects. The QAM ensures that all work performed by the contractor, subcontractors, and testing personnel complies with VDOT standards, specifications, the project’s QA/QC Plan, and contract requirements. This position is independent from the construction production team and reports directly to executive management and/or the Owner/VDOT as required.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Develop, maintain, and execute the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for VDOT compliance.</p></li>\n <li><p>Oversee QA inspection and testing for all project elements, including roadway, structures, utilities, and environmental controls.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure that all materials and work are tested and documented in accordance with VDOT Materials Division Manual of Instructions (MOI) and project specifications.</p></li>\n <li><p>Validate and sign off on QA reports, daily inspection reports, testing results, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure accurate recordkeeping.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide weekly and monthly QA summaries for internal leadership and VDOT representatives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Serve as the primary point of contact for VDOT regarding QA matters.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct and participate in field audits, VDOT reviews, and third-party assessments.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor contractor compliance with safety, environmental, and construction standards.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. </em></strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Work Experience Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED or 10 years with a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to maintain required certifications.</li>\n <li>Successful completion of the KCI PM Training and Contract Training for current employees or ability to complete within six months (for new hires.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional license or certification within the field of expertise preferred. </li>\n <li>CCM</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.</p>",
