Our mission is to transform industrial manufacturing through pioneering research, creative problem‑solving, and relentless execution.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Controller</span> to manage and oversee the company’s daily accounting operations. This role ensures compliance with government contract accounting standards, maintains accurate financial records, and supports the VP of Finance with reliable data and reporting. The Controller focuses on operational accounting execution, internal controls, and financial accuracy, while the VP of Finance maintains responsibility for strategic planning, financial leadership, and long-term financial management.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Accounting Operations (Primary Responsibility)</span><br>• Oversee daily accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger maintenance, and cash management.<br>• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.<br>• Ensure and maintain proper documentation, reconciliations, and audit-ready financial records.<br>• Strengthen and maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.<br>• Administer and integrate the accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Fishbowl, Tipalti, Insperity Payroll) to support compliant, efficient workflows.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Government Contracting Compliance</span><br>• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DCAA requirements and allowable/ unallowable cost principles. <br>• Develop, maintain, and monitor indirect rates, labor distribution, project structures, and cost classifications.</p>\n<p>• Prepare schedules, documentation, and responses for DCAA and other compliance audits.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project and Cost Accounting</span><br>•Calculate and update percentage‑of‑completion (POC) for applicable contracts.<br>• Prepare and maintain Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) reporting, including revenue, cost incurred, billings, and project profitability.<br>• Reconcile contract assets and liabilities, including unbilled and deferred revenue.<br>• Analyze POC trends to identify cost overruns, estimate changes, and schedule impacts; communicate findings to the VP of Finance and project managers.<br>• Partner with project managers to validate progress, cost‑to‑complete, and Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) updates.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Reporting &amp; Support</span><br>• Ensure financial statements reflect accurate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP, FAR principles, and contract terms.<br>• Prepare monthly POC and financial performance reports for the VP of Finance.<br>• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing project‑level revenue and expenditure projections.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration with VP of Finance</span><br>• Provide timely, accurate accounting data to support financial strategy and decision‑making.<br>• Support proposal pricing by supplying cost data and rate structures.<br>• Assist with financial planning, capital analysis, and long‑term forecasting as assigned.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Bring</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">• </span>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).<br>• 8+ years of accounting experience, including experience within government contracting.<br>• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, indirect rates, and DCAA compliance.</p>\n<p>• Experience with small-business accounting systems and government contract accounting tools.<br>• Proven ability to build and maintain internal controls and efficient processes.<br>• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.<br>• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-paced, hands-on environment.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualities</span><br>• Experience working under or alongside a VP/CFO-level leader.<br>• Proactive, highly organized, and able to improve processes independently.<br>• Strong collaboration skills across operations, accounting, and executive leadership.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us?</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Make an Impact: </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Your work directly supports critical government programs and shapes the financial health of a growing organization.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Own Your Role</span>: We trust our team members with meaningful responsibility and value your expertise, ideas, and initiative.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaborate with a Strong Team: </span>You’ll work alongside a supportive leadership group that believes in transparency, partnership, and helping each other succeed.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Be Rewarded: </span>We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and genuine recognition for the results you deliver.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Continuous Composites Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
