    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">THE ROLE</span></p>\n<p>You’re not satisfied with vague requirements. You ask the follow-up question, map the workflow, and make sure the delivery team has exactly what they need before a line of code is written. When documentation doesn’t exist, you create it. When system behaviour is unclear, you dig until it isn’t.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Optiom’s Execution Office is building out the analytical capability that sits between our business operations and technical delivery teams. As we manage a growing application landscape — multiple platforms, legacy integrations, evolving business processes — the demand for clear system documentation, accurate requirements, and current-state analysis has become a strategic priority.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Systems Analyst works closely alongside the Technical Integrations Manager to analyze applications, workflows, and cross-system dependencies, and partners with the Delivery Operations Analyst to ensure work items are complete, accurate, and ready for execution. This is a role for someone who is analytically rigorous, naturally curious, and most effective when they’ve fully understood a problem before recommending how to solve it.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">YOU BRING</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience in systems analysis, business systems analysis, or application support analysis in a business or technology environment.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to document requirements, workflows, process maps, and system behaviour in a way that is clear, complete, and usable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Experience reverse engineering existing system logic, configurations, and business rules where formal documentation is absent or incomplete — and an appetite for that kind of work.</li>\n<li>Experience working across multiple applications and cross-functional teams to analyze impacts, clarify issues, and support delivery.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with work management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or a comparable platform.</li>\n<li>Strong analytical thinking: you identify root causes, distinguish symptoms from sources, and ask productive follow-up questions before drawing conclusions.</li>\n<li>Clear written communication in both technical and plain-language contexts — your documentation works for engineers and business leads alike.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">BONUS POINTS FOR</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience supporting software integrations, interface mapping, or cross-system workflow analysis in multi-application environments.</li>\n<li>Background in insurance, financial services, or another regulated or process-driven environment.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery environments and iterative requirements development practices.</li>\n<li>Process mapping proficiency using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or a comparable diagramming platform.</li>\n<li>IIBA certification or equivalent (CBAP, ECBA, or similar professional designation in business analysis).</li>\n<li>Experience with data analysis, functional specification work, or impact assessment in support of reporting, integration, or enhancement delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHO WE ARE</span></p>\n<p>Optiom Inc. is a specialty insurance Managing General Agency (MGA) and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aviva Canada — one of the country’s largest and most trusted insurers.
