LSCG offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefit package that includes health, dental, matching 401K and more.&nbsp;</p><p>Job Summary&nbsp;</p><p>As an Underground Laborer, you are responsible for assisting the assigned crew by furnishing tools, materials, and supplies; cleaning work area, machines, and tools, holding materials or tools for other workers and performing traffic control duties.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Requirements for an Underground Laborer:&nbsp;</p><p>Pass a background check and drug test&nbsp;</p><p>CDL Class A Preferred&nbsp;</p><p>Tasks Required for an Underground Laborer:&nbsp;</p><p>Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.&nbsp;</p><p>Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.&nbsp;</p><p>Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.&nbsp;</p><p>Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.&nbsp;</p><p>Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.&nbsp;</p><p>Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.&nbsp;</p><p>Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications.&nbsp;</p><p>Tend to pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment&nbsp;</p><p>Erect or dismantle traffic barricades or other temporary structures for safety.&nbsp;</p><p>Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, or tools.&nbsp;</p><p>Utilize machinery, such as a directional drill, to drill holes in a multitude of different types of dirt and clay.&nbsp;</p><p>Knowledge Required of an Underground Laborer:&nbsp;</p><p>Building and Construction— Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in underground construction for CATV telecommunications systems.&nbsp;</p><p>Mechanical— Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.&nbsp;</p><p>Safety— Knowledge of relevant safety procedures in a construction setting.&nbsp;</p><p>Disclaimer Statement&nbsp;</p><p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions associated with this position.
