    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for providing care which includes assessment, treatment, control diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.  Consults with physicians.  Provides consultation, instruction and/or technical direction of medical, nursing and other staff members.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of DRMC.</p>\n<p>Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and DRMC.</p>\n<p>Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action.</p>\n<p>Must participate in safety instructional programs.</p>\n<p>The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the essential functions of this position as identified, and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> Must possess a current Alabama Respiratory Therapist License.</p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> Desirable characteristics include two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.</p>\n<p><strong>License/Certification:</strong> Alabama Respiratory Therapy License required, BLS / ACLS / PALS / NRP required</p>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>DeKalb Regional Medical Center</strong> celebrated its 35th anniversary in October 2021.
