This role offers flexible compensation with a highly competitive productivity bonus structure, enabling you to focus on delivering excellent clinical care within a supportive and collaborative team environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Quick Facts</strong>• Employment Type: Full-time (employed) with independent contractor option considered• Schedule / Hours: Inpatient clinical hours with no mandatory weekend on-call.• Call: Weekend call approximately one weekend per month• Patient Volume: Adult inpatient population with diverse psychiatric needs• Location: Washington, DC (easily accessible via Metrorail and public transportation)• Practice Setting: Freestanding psychiatric hospital with partial and intensive outpatient programs• Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary clinical staff, physicians, and administration• EMR / Technology: Electronic Medical Records utilized for documentation</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>• Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of adult psychiatric inpatients• Lead the treatment team and provide daily patient care in the acute inpatient program• Collaborate closely with other psychiatrists, APPs, nursing staff, and support personnel• Provide comprehensive documentation of clinical care in the EMR system</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong>• Base salary plus highly competitive bonus structure</p>\n<p> Salary: $300,000–$325,000 plus sign-on and relocation bonuses• Malpractice insurance coverage• Paid time off (PTO)• Matching 401(k) retirement plan• CME allowance and professional development support• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance packages• Relocation assistance if needed• Sign-on bonus available• Student loan repayment assistance• Employee stock purchase plan• Independent contractor arrangements considered upon request</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical program• Board Certified in Psychiatry• Active or eligible medical license to practice in Washington, DC• Minimum of 3-5 years clinical practice experience• Meets credentialing requirements set by the facility and UHS</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Growth & Development</strong>• Opportunities for professional growth and personal development within a multidisciplinary team• Involvement in training, mentorship, and community education programs• Potential leadership and advancement roles within PIW and UHS networks</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the Organization & Community</strong>The Psychiatric Institute of Washington, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), is a private, freestanding psychiatric hospital offering comprehensive behavioral health services, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, chemical dependency, and trauma programs.
