    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ganawa</span> is a custom steel fabricator and full-service supplier for the bridge construction industry and various other structural steel markets.  We offer extensive products and services, including the fabrication of bridge expansion joints and railing systems, and custom steel fabrication.  We have an immediate opening for an experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fitter with MIG welding experience </span>at our Bowmanville facility.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements and Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ensure production quality is being met and safety is being followed during the process</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintains a working knowledge of the status of all current projects</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Strong Fitting skills are a MUST</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Experienced Welding with stainless steel and aluminum would be an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Inspects work to maintain specified standards and quality</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work with large parts/fabrications and custom structural steel fabrications</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Fitting, fabricating, and welding metal and structural components. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Cut, drill, bevel, and grind metal parts to ensure proper fit-up for welding</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Lay out, position, and align parts and assemblies before welding</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as wheel &amp; die grinders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to set up their own jig</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must do general labour work if/when required</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications you should have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum 5 years experience fitting </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum 5 years MIG Welding is essential</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Welding Certificate or Diploma program an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">CWB weld ticket preferred or capable of obtaining</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision or direction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to work overtime when required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Positive attitude and take pride in your work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Solid communication and team collaboration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Sound knowledge of welding safety regulations and commitment to health and safety in the workplace.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d;
