Description Position Title: Operations & HSE Manager Pay Rate : $89,000 - $118,600 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Category/Shift : Salaried Full-Time Physical Location : 1212 Tolmak Road Shreveport, LA 71107 The Job You Will Perform: Responsible for leading systems, processes and procedures that promote a positive safety culture, which results in an injury free and healthy workplace. Collaborate with local leadership to execute on all local, state, federal regulatory HSE requirements and company HSE programs. This position reports directly to the Site Manager and will work functionally with regional HSE staff. Assign and track all HSE activities, corrective action plans and tasks to completion and update as needed Assess facility programs against performance standards and develop corrective action plans to close gaps Manage leading indicators, energy control, hearing conservation, contractor safety, and chemical management programs Participate in required internal and external HSE audits and inspections; Coordinate and review results to ensure deficiency correction Lead incident investigations, complete investigation files, develop corrective action plans and deliberate improvement efforts and manage worker's compensation process Responsible for plant-wide HSE training and communications; utilize resources from HSE function, participate in Area HSE calls and communicate/distribute materials to site leaders; prepare and provide info at plant-wide meetings Promote sustainability of safety leadership tools; provide feedback to leaders on skill improvements needed Maintain all HSE related documentation, permits, inspections, and efforts Responsible for the Customer Service, Scheduling and Shipping Departments and report directly to the Site Manager. Provides supply chain and replenishment leadership for facility customers On-time-in-full-no-errors (OTIFNE) performance measurement and communication Tracking, ordering and optimizing finished and raw material inventories Efficiently scheduling facility production demands Managing order requirements through an outside sales organization and offsite customer service organization Support Lead Team objectives such as Safety, Engagement and EBI The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HSE required Relevant degree in Business Administration or Operations Management is preferred 3-5 years HSE experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience with progressive HSE cultures and safety leadership Knowledge of HSE compliance and regulatory requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills; Presentation and delivery skills Ability to work in a collaborative fashion to accomplish HSE and manufacturing requirements and objectives Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience. Strong organizational skills and ability to react to operational support requirements, must be able to organize time effectively and prioritize tasks to cope with fluctuating workloads and multiple tasks. Ability to lead, coordinate multifunctional teams and collaborate with other departments, customers, and business partners. Must demonstrate a proven track record of date accurate data entry; proficient skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to learn industry and customer specific computer systems.
