    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Seeking Full Time- 4 Days a Week Surgical Technician </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be proficient in multiple specialties - experience in Ophthalmology preferred. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Hours of Operation are Monday thru Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!  </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Medical, dental and vision benefits available.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">401k eligible after 6 months of employment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>JOB SUMMARY     </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Reports To:  Director of Nursing</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">________________________________________________________________________</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:           </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years work experience as a surgical technician.</li>\n<li>BLS required</li>\n<li>Certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OCCUPATIONALEXPOSURE</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">________________________________________________________________________</span></span></p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>    * Implements care in a knowledgeable, skilled, consistent manner in reaching the desired patient outcomes through collaborating with the surgical team.</p>\n<p>    * E<span>stablish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available center resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies.</span></p>\n<p>    * Performs efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons and documenting events.</p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrates understanding of regulatory issues.</li>\n<li>Follows employee safety policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates fiscal responsibilities.</li>\n<li>Works as part of a team in delivering patient care.</li>\n<li>Maintains BLS certification as required.</li>\n<li>Supports Sterile Processing as needed.</li>\n<li>Attends all mandatory in-services and participates in staff meetings.</li>\n<li>Completes all mandatory education assigned within the allotted time frame. </li>\n<li>Remains flexible, adaptive and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.  </li>\n<li>Treats all patients equally adopting the centers Patient Rights policy.</li>\n<li>Work areas must be kept neat and clutter free.</li>\n<li>Willingness to assist with other duties when asked.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
