    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary/Objective </span></p>\n<p>Under supervision performs visually inspects and diagnoses repairs that are necessary for the maintenance of all vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span><br><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves, motors, hoses, cylinders, etc...</li>\n<li>Ability to diagnose and perform basic, intermediate, and advanced vehicle maintenance and repairs.</li>\n<li>Engine tune-ups</li>\n<li>Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components</li>\n<li>Oil changes</li>\n<li>Tire rotation and tire changes</li>\n<li>Replace filters</li>\n<li>Ability to work on mechanical and electrical systems</li>\n<li>Replace various parts and components</li>\n<li>Conduct test drives on trucks</li>\n<li>Perform quality inspections prior to returning vehicles to the crew</li>\n<li>Communication with vehicle operators</li>\n<li>Welding/Fabricating skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work on diesel vehicle</li>\n<li>CDL A is a plus but not a requirement</li>\n<li>2 - 3 years’ experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience as an automotive/diesel mechanic</li>\n<li>Knowledge of shop equipment</li>\n<li>Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills</li>\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines</li>\n<li>Detail oriented</li>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Must have your own tools</li>\n<li>Must be able to travel as needed</li>\n<li>Work may be required on weekends</li>\n<li>Must be 21 years of age</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment<br></span>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands<br></span>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Expected Hours of Work<br></span>This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with weekends and travel expected.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel<br></span>Travel is required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Education and Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have 2-3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing</li>\n<li>Excellent mechanical aptitude</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Eligibility Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>10-year criminal background search.</li>\n<li>Clean driving history</li>\n<li>Pre-employment drug screen</li>\n<li>Valid Driver's License (REAL ID).</li>\n<li>Social Security Card.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties:<br></span>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
