    "description": "<h2>Role Summary</h2>\n<p>Urban Outfitters is looking for a knits category specific specialist who facilitates and executes Design’s vision by providing the appropriate fit, quality, and construction that are targeted to the consumer and end use while supporting the business requirements. Responsible to trouble shoot any issues such as fit, construction, and quality control. Takes full ownership of styles and sets a positive example for their team. </p>\n<h2>Role Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Build relationships/partnerships with cross functional team members, such as Design and Production.</li>\n <li>Identify efficiencies within their brand or category to support brand  initiatives.</li>\n <li>Assist with seasonal trend block development. </li>\n <li>Manage work load to department initiatives. </li>\n <li>Instruct and communicate to agents/factories the appropriate construction, fit and block information to ensure successful manufacturing while adhering to Design’s concepts.</li>\n <li>Conducts live fittings with/without designers to determine what fit and construction changes are necessary to achieve Design’s requirements.</li>\n <li>Advise repair options to factories on fit or quality related issues.</li>\n <li>Evaluate best/worst sellers and competitors to make improvements in technical methods and fit for upcoming seasons.</li>\n <li>Assigns base size garments measurements appropriate to each style that correlates to the three dimensional body and desired end use.</li>\n <li>Assures to use all appropriate cost cutting methods in style development.</li>\n <li>Assigns appropriate grading to all points of measure keeping the proportion accurate in relation to our predetermined sizing.</li>\n <li>Other duties as specified by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Role Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Expert knowledge in assembling a detailed technical package to communicate proper instruction to agents/factories for initial or in process style development.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in pattern making, garment construction, and manufacturing including factory machinery, procedures and methods within their category.</li>\n <li>Solid experience of a minimum of 3 years conducting live fittings and determining the necessary pattern changes to create the desired look and fit.</li>\n <li>Experience in assigning easily understood points of measure that will progress the style through development and secure the fit during production QC inspections </li>\n <li>Ability to independently determine appropriate grade rules to all points of measure that correlate to each specific style and sizing.</li>\n <li>Highly organized and experienced in all phases of technical design.</li>\n <li>Prioritize effectively. </li>\n <li>Work in/with cross-functional teams.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with internal and external parties.</li>\n <li>Pro-actively approach problem solving.</li>\n <li>Decision maker.</li>\n <li>Adapt quickly to changes. </li>\n <li>Proficient in a PLM system, Adobe Illustrator</li>\n <li>Knowledge of CLO - 3D software preferred</li>\n <li>Driven by deadlines with a high sense of urgency.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and fully incorporate the brand’s aesthetic.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-AB3 </p>\n<h2>The Perks</h2>\n<p>URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
