    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview:</span><br></p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced <span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lead Technician</span></span> with a strong background in <span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">structured cabling, access control, and security systems</span></span> to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the on-site lead for installation and commissioning of low-voltage infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to standards, and on-time project delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in mentoring others, solving problems in the field, and collaborating with project managers and clients to bring systems to life. A working knowledge of audiovisual (AV) systems is a plus.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Field Leadership &amp; Installation</span><br>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the on-site lead technician for structured cabling, access control, and security projects.</li>\n<li>Install, terminate, and test copper (Cat5e/6/6A) and fiber optic cabling to meet TIA/EIA and industry standards.</li>\n<li>Install and commission access control systems, including card readers, door strikes, magnetic locks, and control panels.</li>\n<li>Install, configure, and aim IP-based surveillance cameras and network video recorders.</li>\n<li>Ensure all work meets code, safety, and quality requirements.<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Coordination &amp; Mentorship</span><br>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and guide installation crews, apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standards.</li>\n<li>Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior technicians.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain clear communication and project alignment.<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Execution &amp; Documentation</span><br>\n<ul>\n<li>Interpret and work from blueprints, construction drawings, and scope-of-work documents.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve field issues quickly and professionally.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate as-built documentation, labeling, and test results.</li>\n<li>Communicate material needs, changes, or field conditions proactively.<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Support</span><br>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasionally assist with basic AV installations such as mounting displays or running signal cables (HDMI, audio, control).</li>\n<li>Participate in project closeouts, client walkthroughs, and punch-list resolution.<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3–5+ years of field experience in structured cabling, access control, and security systems.</li>\n<li>Proven leadership experience directing installation teams on commercial projects.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in copper and fiber optic terminations, testing, and certification.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with common access control and security platforms (HID, Lenel, Swiftlane, Verkada, Avigilon, etc.).</li>\n<li>Understanding of network fundamentals and low-voltage infrastructure standards.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret construction documents, one-line diagrams, and specifications.</li>\n<li>Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Professional communication skills with clients, peers, and management.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Experience &amp; Certifications:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>OSHA 10/30 certification or manufacturer-specific credentials (preferred).</li>\n<li>AV installation experience (conference room displays, basic signal routing) a plus.</li>\n<li>BICSI Installer or Technician certification preferred.</li>\n<li>Experience with structured cabling test equipment (Fluke, OWL, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive compensation and benefits package.</li>\n<li>Opportunities for advancement and continued professional training.</li>\n<li>Collaborative, team-oriented culture that values craftsmanship and initiative.</li>\n</ul>",
