Job Summary With close supervision, utilizes communications knowledge to provide general support in all areas of communications for assigned business units/operating companies, with particular emphasis in the areas of social media and internal communications. Communicates, administers, and implements communications related programs, policies, and procedures. Job Description Communications Rep Associate (SP20-04) What you’ll do: Essential Job Functions & Tasks Provide a range of communications support, including internal communications and media relations, to assigned business unit/operating company. Monitor operating company social media conversations, including those on Facebook and Twitter, and coordinate engagement/response to those conversations with members of the Communication team. Gather media data, including social media posts, news postings, and industry articles, to provide operating company leadership and employees feedback on customer and industry conversations and issues. Provide support to corporate branding through familiarity and support of corporate identity standards in printed and electronic communications. What we’re looking for: Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, communications, public relations, or related degree. Other preferences: Physical demand level is Sedentary Strong written and oral communications and relationship-building skills. Strong writing and editing skills, creative design skills, and social media competency, as well as presenting their work to others. 3. Ability to work independently and part of a team, quickly and creatively under tight deadlines. Ability to contribute to work and projects and coordinate with multiple departments. Experience in digital communications, including social media engagement, preferred. Internship experience in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing preferred. Ability to collaborate and manage small projects successfully with attention to time, budget, and resources. Communications Rep(SP20-05) What you’ll do: Essential Job Functions & Tasks Participates and assists in the development and administration of moderately complex communications assignments. Provide a range of communications support (media relations, community relations, internal communications, public relations, social media, script writing, video editing, etc.) to assigned business units/operating companies. Provides support to corporate branding and advertising effort through familiarity and support of corporate identity standards in printed and electronic communications and counsel to Line of Business and enterprise clients. Supports special events, open houses, promotional display programs and other services for marketing and customer communications purposes. Core competencies specifically applying to this position specifically are Exceptional written/verbal communication skills tailored to print, web, video and other platforms. Customer focus (strong awareness of customer habits, needs, questions). Creativity/continuous improvement (for readability, accessibility, cost-effectiveness and usefulness of customer communications). Teamwork/collaboration (for ability to collaborate with wide variety of internal clients and external marketing communications vendors), and understanding the business and competition (for tracking and understanding the progress of deregulation throughout the service territory, and targeting communication for optimal impact on customers, while weighing external codes of conduct and internal business strategies). What we’re looking for: Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in, journalism, advertising, communications, public relations or equivalent. Work Experience requirement listed below: Three (3) years of communications experience Other preferences: Physical demand level is Sedentary. Corporate - Develop project communications materials (fact sheets, FAQs, talking points, timelines, etc.) Draft content for OPCo internal / external web pages. Execute Community Relations activities. Develop Public Policy communication materials. Draft video scripts. Meeting/Event Planning. Provide counsel to business unit clients. Draft video scripts. Research/write Brochures. Conduct interviews and write news stories for internal print and electronic media. Research and write news releases. Operating company - Support communication efforts of operating company: Develop ideas and write/produce videos for news items and stories.
