Overview
GCG Automation and Factory Solutions is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our commercial team in Chesterfield, MO!
As our Inside Sales Representative, you’ll manage unassigned accounts, respond to inbound leads, and support marketing campaigns through proactive customer engagement.
This role focuses on timely follow-up, quote management, and identifying opportunities to expand customer accounts, all to drive revenue growth. Ideal candidates will bring a background in customer support or coordination roles, showcasing strong organizational and communication skills. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, reporting into the office 2 days a week. When in the office, you will work out of our facilities located at 675 Spirit Valley Central Dr, Chesterfield, Missouri.
What you’ll do
Respond to quote requests and customer inquiries in a timely manner
Research historical sales data and reach out to customers as needed
Maintain accurate records in ERP and CRM (Salesforce) systems
Assist with follow-ups on inbound leads from suppliers, websites, and campaigns
Work with sales managers to pass on qualified opportunities
Collaborate with Customer Service for SPA needs and quote support
Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring
2+ years in a business-to-business (B2B) sale role
Expertise in technical sales related to electrical industrial automation or experience working with electrical controls preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Friendly, proactive, and motivated to speak with customers
Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce CRM, and an ERP system
Basic analytical and decision-making skills
Willingness to adapt to a dynamic environment
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
