    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This person will be responsible for student instruction, and/or clinic supervision on a part-time basis in the Nursing Programs.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Required</li>\n <li>Master's Degree in Nursing (Desired), OR, completion of a MSN degree within the timeline established by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and submission of a written 5-year plan to do so; as well as produce a transcript yearly to demonstrate progression towards the MSN degree. Required</li>\n <li>Doctorate Degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing, education, or a closely related field. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One to two years of clinical nursing experience within two years of employment. Required</li>\n <li>Relevant teaching experience on the secondary or postsecondary level. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. Required</li>\n <li>Developed organizational skills. Required</li>\n <li>Must be certified in CPR at the Basic Life Support level or higher and maintain certification. Required</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid driver's license. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in the courses of the Nursing Programs.</li>\n <li>Supervise, guide and instruct students in nursing laboratory, simulation, and clinical areas.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate written records of student performance.</li>\n <li>Assist other faculty and school administrators with laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.</li>\n <li>Attend department/team meetings as scheduled.</li>\n <li>Must comply with policies and procedures of clinical sites where instructing students.</li>\n <li>Complete the Qualifications and Professional Development form and an updated CV annually and submit to supervisor to demonstrate completion of continuing education requirements for PA state RN license.</li>\n <li>Submit to supervisor a copy of nursing license upon initial hire and renewal.</li>\n <li>Maintain all College and clinical site compliances annually and as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Standing or walking for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Multiple physical positioning including full range of motion.</li>\n <li>Fine motor dexterity. Lifting up to 50 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>\n<p>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
