    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Summary</p><p>Under the direction of the Fabrication Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a machine during the production cycle.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><p><em>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.</em></p><ul><li>Operates and control machine settings</li><li>Effectively uses overhead cranes to lift steel onto machine</li><li>Feeds material through the machine, creating specific cuts/holes into the columns and/or beams</li><li>Identifies and loads correct electronic data, AutoCAD files and machine programs to complete the setup for each job.</li><li>Examines work and check defects regularly</li><li>Completes and maintains any required paperwork, records and documents</li><li>Checks work area for hazards</li><li>Complies with safety regulations and wears appropriate PPE at all times</li><li>Leaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; or demonstrated extensive welding experience</li><li>1-2 years of machine operating experience preferred</li><li>Prior CNC programming experience is a plus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Other skills</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints</li><li>Ability to understand measurements and use a tape measurer&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Language Skills</strong></p><p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.&nbsp;Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Mathematical Skills</strong></p><p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, common fractions and decimals. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Reasoning Ability</strong></p><p>Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instruction provided in written, oral, or diagram form. &nbsp;Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p><em>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
