    "description": "<p>We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our ISP network infrastructure. This role includes configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems to ensure reliable, high-performance internet services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking, routing, and security, and thrive in a fast-paced environment</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to:</span> Broadband Network Manager (BNM)</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Department:</span>  Plant</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Classification:</span> Hourly</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and optimize the ISP’s core and access network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.</li>\n<li>Monitor network performance, ensuring uptime, reliability, and minimal latency for customers.</li>\n<li>Configure and maintain IP addressing, VLANs, and network security settings.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular network audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements.</li>\n<li>Manage and troubleshoot issues related to internet connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Security &amp; Compliance:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement and maintain network security policies to protect against cyber threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and DDoS mitigation.</li>\n<li>Monitor for unauthorized access, network breaches, or unusual traffic patterns.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Network Expansion &amp; Upgrades:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in planning and deploying new network infrastructure, including fiber, fixed wireless.</li>\n<li>Research and recommend improvements to network design, hardware, and software.</li>\n<li>Test and deploy firmware/software updates to improve performance and security.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Access to Sensitive Areas and Information</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPNI and other sensitive customer information</li>\n<li>Plant Offices and Tech Warehouses</li>\n<li>Plant Budget</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li>\n<li>Certifications (preferred): CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent networking certifications.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.</li>\n<li>Experience with network monitoring tools.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with security best practices, firewall configurations, and DDoS mitigation.</li>\n<li>Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.</li>\n<li>Strong communication and documentation skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and/or Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of fiber optic and wireless broadband technologies.</li>\n<li>Experience with VoIP, IPTV, and cloud-based networking solutions.</li>\n<li>General knowledge of PSTN network- SIP, GR303, H248, MGCP and VMware</li>\n<li>One year of telecommunications experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibility</span></p>\n<p>This position has no supervisory responsibility.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span></p>\n<p>May require occasional travel to other plant locations or vendor sites.<br>Must be able to work outside of standard business hours as needed to address urgent issues or complete projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
