Description

Position: Kids Pastor – 4th/5th Grade Location: Roseville Area Reports to: Kids Pastor Job Status: Full-time The Bayside Kids Pastor for 4th/5th Grade plays a vital role on the Kids Ministry team by providing spiritual leadership, vision, and oversight of students, volunteers, and programming at the campus. This leader disciples students and families while building and developing a thriving volunteer team. General Responsibilities Collaborate regularly with the Kids Ministry Pastor to align with the overall vision and goals of Bayside Kids Ministry. Be actively present at all weekend services, mid-week programs, and strategic special events. Assist with the development and implementation of the Kids Ministry strategic vision. Key Responsibilities 4th-5th Grade Program Development & Implementation: Provide leadership and biblical teaching for 4th-5th grade students. Develop and implement a creative, age-appropriate curriculum that is biblically sound and engaging. Oversee 4th-5th grade programming during weekend services. Ensure all classrooms are staffed with trained, qualified volunteers. Ensure the following areas are consistently managed: Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop lead volunteers for each age group, tech team, and worship team. Scheduling & Coverage: Create and manage a volunteer schedule for weekend services to ensure full coverage. Support & Training: Provide ongoing training, support, and encouragement to all volunteers. Environment: Foster safe, high-energy, and creative spaces that capture kids’ attention and inspire spiritual growth. Staff, Volunteer, and Parent Development / Communication: Lead, develop, and care for the volunteer and staff team, fostering a culture of excellence, unity, and growth. Implement a consistent strategy for volunteer retention, appreciation and encouragement. Equip and empower a qualified substitute leader to allow for your occasional attendance at a weekend service. Establish regular, effective communication with parents using electronic and social media platforms, providing updates, resources, and event information. Manage a structured follow-up process for first-time visitors to ensure a welcoming and connected experience. Children’s Ministry Special Events: Collaborate with the Kids Ministry team to plan, support, and lead special events for the 4th-5th grade age group. Ensure that events align with the mission and vision of the Children’s Ministry and provide meaningful experiences for both kids and families. Professional Development & Ministry Growth: Regularly research and implement best practices from grade school ministries nationwide, ensuring Bayside Kids remains innovative and effective. Participate in ongoing training, conferences, and ministry growth opportunities. Mission Critical Expectations: Proactively support and uphold the mission, vision, core values, and goals of Bayside Church. Build and lead a volunteer and staff team that reflects and embodies these values. Maintain open, honest, and frequent communication with your supervisor, staff, and volunteers. Embody and promote the Bayside Core Values, Staff Culture & Values, Vision Statement, and Points of Accountability.
