This leader disciples students and families while building and developing a thriving volunteer team.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>General Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate regularly with the Kids Ministry Pastor to align with the overall vision and goals of Bayside Kids Ministry.</li><li>Be actively present at all weekend services, mid-week programs, and strategic special events.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with the development and implementation of the Kids Ministry strategic vision.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p>4th-5th Grade Program Development &amp; Implementation:</p><ul><li>Provide leadership and biblical teaching for 4th-5th grade students.</li><li>Develop and implement a creative, age-appropriate curriculum that is biblically sound and engaging.</li><li>Oversee 4th-5th grade programming during weekend services.</li><li>Ensure all classrooms are staffed with trained, qualified volunteers.</li><li>Ensure the following areas are consistently managed:&nbsp;</li><li>Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop lead volunteers for each age group, tech team, and worship team.</li><li>Scheduling &amp; Coverage: Create and manage a volunteer schedule for weekend services to ensure full coverage.</li><li>Support &amp; Training: Provide ongoing training, support, and encouragement to all volunteers.</li><li>Environment: Foster safe, high-energy, and creative spaces that capture kids’ attention and inspire spiritual growth.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Staff, Volunteer, and Parent Development / Communication:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, develop, and care for the volunteer and staff team, fostering a culture of excellence, unity, and growth.</li><li>Implement a consistent strategy for volunteer retention, appreciation and encouragement.</li><li>Equip and empower a qualified substitute leader to allow for your occasional attendance at a weekend service.</li><li>Establish regular, effective communication with parents using electronic and social media platforms, providing updates, resources, and event information.</li><li>Manage a structured follow-up process for first-time visitors to ensure a welcoming and connected experience.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Children’s Ministry Special Events:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Kids Ministry team to plan, support, and lead special events for the 4th-5th grade age group.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that events align with the mission and vision of the Children’s Ministry and provide meaningful experiences for both kids and families.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Professional Development &amp; Ministry Growth:</strong></p><ul><li>Regularly research and implement best practices from grade school ministries nationwide, ensuring Bayside Kids remains innovative and effective.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training, conferences, and ministry growth opportunities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Mission Critical Expectations:</strong></p><ul><li>Proactively support and uphold the mission, vision, core values, and goals of Bayside Church.</li><li>Build and lead a volunteer and staff team that reflects and embodies these values.</li><li>Maintain open, honest, and frequent communication with your supervisor, staff, and volunteers.</li><li>Embody and promote the Bayside Core Values, Staff Culture &amp; Values, Vision Statement, and Points of Accountability.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
