Hours vary depending on needs.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<br><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Performs daily cleaning and maintains an orderly condition in areas such as classrooms, bathrooms, offices, cafeterias, common areas, gym and fitness facilities, and perimeter grounds. Duties involve a combination of sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, or other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Day Cleaning</strong></p><ul><li>Open building and check for maintenance issues</li><li>Respond to request by Principal (s) and teachers</li><li>Police entrance areas and spot clean door glass</li><li>Clean up cafeteria daily after breakfast and lunch</li><li>Dust mop hall after class breaks as needed</li><li>Monitor all restrooms after each class break-mop floor, spot clean sinks, vanities, counter tops, mirrors, floors, and walls, pick up paper and flush commodes and urinals, and take out trash</li><li>Pick up trash outside of building at least one (1) time per day</li><li>Change light bulbs and tubes as needed</li><li>Clean and mop any accident that may occur during the day</li><li>Clean electrical rooms and storage closets as needed</li><li>Sweep entranceways - to include snow removal from entrances and sidewalks</li></ul><p><strong>General Cleaning</strong></p><ul><li>Preforms general clean-up of all buildings as directed ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, and public areas.</li><li>Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment</li><li>Service, clean, and supply rooms</li><li>Gathers and empty trash and recycling. May include transporting trash from collection points to incinerator, compactor, or pick up areas</li><li>Inside windowpane, glass surfaces, and mirror cleaning to height no greater than body height plus and arm's extension from floor level during periodic cleaning maintenance programs.</li><li>Polish metal fixtures or trimmings</li><li>Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders, handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests, and tackle heavy cleaning jobs upon request.</li><li>Maintain and upkeep of all cleaning equipment supplies and products.</li><li>Reports repairs and replacement needed when encountered on job</li><li>Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately.</li><li>Follow all health and safety regulations</li><li>Ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products</li></ul><p><strong>Floors</strong></p><ul><li>Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors</li><li>Spot clean carpets</li><li>Steam clean or shampoo carpets as needed or if in the contract</li><li>Use electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish floors</li><li>Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage</li><li>Replenish consumable items such as soap toilet rolls paper towels if required within the contract</li><li>The use of chemical agents as directed by the supervising officer in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures after receiving proper instructions and training.</li><li>Complete any other duty assigned by supervisor</li></ul><p><strong>Bathroom Cleaning</strong></p><ul><li>Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, and drinking fountains, and wipe surfaces</li><li>Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.</li><li>Empty trash and sanitary bins</li><li>Dust the fan/vent</li><li>Clean all piping</li><li>Mop and scrub floors</li><li>Clean grout as needed</li><li>Complete any other duties assigned by supervisor</li></ul>",
