Established in 1949, the Kurita Group is comprised of an international network of approximately 8000 employees located in 18 countries.</p>\n<p>Located in Minneapolis, MN, Kurita America brings innovations to market through a holistic water management approach, incorporating state-of-the art equipment, chemistries, engineering, and services to conserve natural resources for a better, more sustainable world.</p>\n<p>Kurita’s corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Title: Quality Inspector (Contract Role 3-6 months)</p>\n<p>Location:  Brooklyn Park MN</p>\n<p>Compensation:  $45 to $55/hr</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications</li>\n <li>Review welding procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements</li>\n <li>Provide guidance and support to welding personnel to ensure that welding activities are performed in accordance with industry standards and specifications</li>\n <li>Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all welding activities and submit them to the manager.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure that welding activities are integrated into the overall project plan</li>\n <li>Inspection of fabricated vessels and skidded systems </li>\n <li>Installation of internal vessel components and assemblies </li>\n <li>Submits inspection, photos, and other reports as required for each inspection</li>\n <li>Maintain good working relationships with supplier quality control personnel</li>\n <li>In-house inspection of fabricated parts</li>\n <li>In-house fabrication of PVC internal vessel components and assemblies</li>\n <li>Review welding procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirement</li>\n <li>Provide guidance and support to welding personnel to ensure that welding activities are performed in accordance with industry standards and specifications</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education: Diploma from trade school, preferably in welding.</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Experience:   5-7 years working in a manufacturing environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience of inspection of PVDF/PP piping welding for high purity (Semiconductor project) application.</li>\n <li>Experience of inspection of PVC piping bonding.</li>\n <li>AWS - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Welding procedure specification (WPS), Welder qualification test record (WQTR), Procedure qualification record (PQR).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)</p>\n<p>Nondestructive Testing (NDT) certified.</p>\n<p>Excellent knowledge of ASME B31.3</p>\n<p>Must have knowledge of ASTM, ASME and D1.1.National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE)</p>\n<p>Proficient in Computers and MS-Office</p>\n<p>Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.</p>\n<p>Familiar with mechanical measuring equipment and tools.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities </strong></p>",
