Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Technician supports all operational excellence efforts in the production facility. The person(s) performing in this role are models for the behaviors and actions that create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
Participate, assist, and lead kaizen events to drive system and process improvement Support the implementation of process improvement projects Exhibit and develop a high level of critical thinking skills Proficiently apply and train practical, team-based problem-solving methodology Utilize Leader Standard Work as a basis for structured and organized daily routines Facilitate the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; foster positive culture change Demonstrate the ability to apply and train others in the application of lean tools and methodologies Support cooperation, teamwork, and positive working relationships across all functional areas Autonomously identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes Display and be able to train lean leadership behaviors Continuously develop skills and abilities in line with organizational goals
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be familiar working in a high volume and inventory-intensive environment. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally Ability to work well in a team environment Knowledge and ability to train others in waste identification Ability to gather facts and analyse problems in depth Ability to support continuous improvement efforts on all shifts
Education and Experience:
Five years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan. Must be 18 years of age or older. Microsoft office suite.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand all day and lift amplifiers throughout the day.
Compensation range:
29.00 - 30.00 per hour
