    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Description Title:&nbsp;</strong>Cafe Job Coach, Chance&rsquo;s Cafe&nbsp;</p><p>This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong> The Cafe Job Coach provides training, coaching, and accommodations support to the Crew Members at Chance&rsquo;s Cafe. Chance&rsquo;s Cafe is responsible for the oversight and management of the Chance&rsquo;s Cafe job training and employment program. Chance&rsquo;s Cafe is a food service-based job training and employment program for adults with disabilities serving the community of and around Highland Park United Methodist Church. Chance&rsquo;s was founded in memory and in honor of Chance Urschel, who found pride and joy working in the kitchen alongside beloved family members. Chance&rsquo;s Cafe is designed to provide the same opportunities for inclusion, connection, and pride in contribution that Chance experienced while baking for and serving others.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:2.9pt;\"><strong>Reports to:</strong> Cafe Manager, Chance&rsquo;s Cafe</p><p><strong>Ministerial Exemption:&nbsp;</strong>No</p><p><strong>FLSA Status:</strong> Exempt&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Campus:</strong> Mockingbird&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong> This is a full-time position. It is anticipated that this person will work at least 36 hours a week.</p><p><strong>Anticipated Schedule:</strong> Sunday 7am - 1pm. Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).&nbsp;</p><p>During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter. All church staff are expected to work in support of Back to Fall Kickoff Sunday.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p><p><em>On-the-Job Support</em></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Provide onsite job training and workplace support to Chance&rsquo;s Crew members.</li><li>Assist with job-specific skills, workplace etiquette, and time management.</li><li>Support Crew Members with navigating workplace challenges such as understanding job requirements, resolving conflicts, and improving performance.</li><li>Guide Crew Members in learning new environments or tasks, help with the development of social and organizational skills and other &ldquo;soft&rdquo; skills needed for success.</li><li>Plan and provide accommodations on the jobsite.</li><li>Track Crew Member progress, provide feedback directly and to the Manager and Senior Manager, adjust coaching strategies as necessary to ensure individual growth and success.</li><li>Make and support plans to fade supports needed on the job, when possible, to promote independence.</li><li>Promote understanding of Chance&rsquo;s Crew member strengths and needs within workplace environment(s).</li><li>Model appropriate behavior on the jobsite.</li><li>Help Crew Members understand and perform their job duties effectively.</li></ul><p><em>Supervision of Chance&rsquo;s Crew Members on Shift</em></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Work alongside Chance&rsquo;s Manager &amp; Assistant Manager to train and supervise the Chance&rsquo;s staff (employees, students, and volunteer workers) using task analysis on the following:&nbsp;<ul><li>Customer Service</li><li>Managing Inventory</li><li>Brewing coffee</li><li>Cleaning</li><li>Risk Management&nbsp;</li><li>Use of point-of-sale system</li><li>Financial literacy, managing money, and basic accounting</li></ul></li><li>Supervise Sunday morning coffee service at Mockingbird campus when needed.</li></ul><p><em>Other Duties</em></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Ensure all support volunteers are following the mission, core values and safety protocols of the Belong Disability Ministry.</li><li>Help to create a team of Chance&rsquo;s staff that is confident, caring and who have strong work ethics.</li><li>Other tasks/projects deemed necessary Chance&rsquo;s Caf&eacute; Manager &amp; Assistant Manager.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><em>Belong Team Responsibilities</em></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Attend and participate in weekly Belong team meetings.</li><li>Ensure all contractors, volunteers, and participants follow HPUMC and Belong policies and procedures relating to safety, risk management, appropriate behavior, and operations.&nbsp;</li><li>Support Belong in creation and management of safe, quality programming.&nbsp;<ul><li>This will include supporting creation and maintenance of Belong policies, procedures, and systems.&nbsp;</li><li>This may include providing backup coverage for other programs and will require being available to attend/work: (1) both performances of Spotlight Musical Theatre, (2) the Spotlight Short Film Premiere, and (3) any team-wide special Belong events or programs.&nbsp;</li><li>On days Belong is hosting larger events or programs, team members may be required to reserve hours during the workday to support team needs.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Support, as determined necessary by the Director and HPUMC leadership, Belong&rsquo;s involvement in HPUMC&rsquo;s churchwide events, including (1) the annual staff retreat, (2) Vacation Bible School, and (3) the Advent Festival and other important liturgical observances.&nbsp;</li></ul><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Other duties as assigned.
