Description

About the Maintenance Technician position The purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of equipment and facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. They diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining safety standards, following GMP guidelines, and ensuring equipment functions optimally. Maintenance Technician responsibilities are: Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves maintenance failures using assembly drawings, P&IDs, manuals, and electrical principles like VFDs and PLCs. Utilizes basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge as needed. Operates and maintains devices such as gauges, temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, transducers, and flow meters. Trains new Associates and team members on essential maintenance skills and assists with equipment troubleshooting. Maintains a safe and orderly work area in compliance with GMP and Safety guidelines. Supports operations by assisting with production needs and training Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Please note for this role, all applicants will train on the day shift for up to six months. Once training has been successfully completed, leadership will assess candidates understanding of assigned duties and communicate the transition over to night shift. Safety and Food Safety Responsibility This is a safety-sensitive role with direct responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment and protecting food safety and product integrity. Strict adherence to all workplace safety and food safety programs, including GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards, is required. Employees must identify, report, and escalate hazards and process deviations, and are expected to take immediate action to stop or correct unsafe conditions or risks to product quality.
