    "requisitionDescription": "<div><h4 data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Title: Project Connect Coordinator</strong></h4><p>Reports to: &nbsp;Prevention Services Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>FLSA Status: Non-exempt</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><h3>Position Summary</h3><p>The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating all aspects of the programs and services offered through Project Connect which includes monthly LGBTQ health and wellness workshops, a youth mentorship for empowerment program, and best practice trainings to health and human service providers on medically underserved populations.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The major duties of the position include, but are not limited to:</p><h2><strong>&nbsp;</strong></h2><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Develop a year-long health and wellness workshop curriculum that helps priority populations &nbsp;build&nbsp;important skills around healthy relationships and self-care as well as receive information about &nbsp;safe spaces and services in the&nbsp;community;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Outreach</strong></p><ul><li>Market and promote Project Connect to the community to ensure that programs and&nbsp;services are appropriate, well-branded and reflective of the needs of the&nbsp;community;</li><li>Recruit and retain a core group of mentors to provide a safe-space and supportive community for youth&nbsp;to discuss their identities</li><li>Conduct outreach to other community-based organizations to raise awareness of the unique needs of&nbsp;the target communities and increase capacity to serve this&nbsp;population;</li><li>Represent Project Connect as well as Apicha Community Health Center at various health fairs and&nbsp;other community&nbsp;events;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct on-going quality assurance and evaluation activities to ensure that Project Connect is reaching&nbsp;its intended audience and meeting its outlined&nbsp;goals;</li><li>Timely submission of project reports and data entry as required by&nbsp;funder;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Direct Services</strong></p><ul><li>Recruit and retain a core group of mentors to provide a safe-space and supportive community for youth&nbsp;to discuss their identities&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate a series of informal roundtable discussions with volunteer mentors and young participants covering a wide range of topics (i.e., building supportive networks and self-esteem, coming out to family members and in the&nbsp;workplace);</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with minimum work experience equivalent to 1 year of full-time work experience or high school diploma/GED and work experience equivalent to 3 years of full-time work&nbsp;experience.</li><li>Knowledge of health seeking behavior of target population or health belief of target&nbsp;population</li><li>Ability to work in diverse cultural&nbsp;environments;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal&nbsp;skills.</li><li>Fluency in one or more Asian languages&nbsp;preferred.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and&nbsp;weekends.</li><li>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in multi-disciplinary&nbsp;environment.</li><li>Creative, independent team player capable of working within an organizational&nbsp;structure.</li><li>Ability to use common office software: Word, Excel, Power Point,&nbsp;Outlook.</li><li>Ability to use public transportation</li></ul></div><p><br></p>\n",
