The country's program integrates gender equality, youth empowerment, and community resilience across its portfolio, ensuring that interventions address both immediate needs and long-term structural challenges.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scope and Nature of Services:</span></span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scope of Work Summary</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>The Midwife – Mobile Health Team is responsible for supporting the Mobile Health Team in providing maternal, newborn, and reproductive health services to crisis-affected communities resulting from natural disasters and armed conflicts in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and other regions through mobile clinic operations. Assisting the medical doctor, the midwife will deliver antenatal and postnatal care, basic obstetric services, newborn care, family planning services, and breastfeeding support, and will identify and refer high-risk pregnancies and complicated cases to appropriate health facilities. The midwife will work closely with local government health offices, barangay health workers, and community partners to ensure continuity of care and proper referral pathways, while maintaining accurate maternal and child health records and reports in accordance with national health standards and humanitarian guidelines.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, the midwife will support the conduct of health education sessions for pregnant and lactating women on birth preparedness, danger signs, newborn care, breastfeeding, nutrition, hygiene, and family planning. The midwife will support maternal and newborn health assessments, participate in emergency health response activities when needed, and ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols, safeguarding policies, and the Do No Harm principle. The position will contribute to improving access to quality maternal and newborn health services and strengthening community-based health systems in target areas.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Responsibilities  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing maternal and newborn care services during mobile clinic activities, including antenatal and postnatal care.</li>\n<li>Conduct pregnancy assessment, basic obstetric care, and identification of high-risk pregnancies for referral.</li>\n<li>Provides support for referral of complicated cases.</li>\n<li>Support family planning services and counseling.</li>\n<li>Provide newborn care, breastfeeding support, and essential newborn care education.</li>\n<li>Support immunization services for mothers and infants in coordination with local health offices.</li>\n<li>Conduct nutrition screening for pregnant and lactating women and children and refer malnutrition cases.</li>\n<li>Provide health education on maternal health, newborn care, breastfeeding, nutrition, hygiene, and birth preparedness.</li>\n<li>Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) and proper medical waste disposal during service delivery.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate maternal and child health records and reports</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mission Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in planning and implementation of mobile health and maternal health activities.</li>\n<li>Maintain proper documentation, including ANC/PNC records, delivery records, referral forms, and family planning records.</li>\n<li>Prepare and submit activity reports, maternal health reports, and monthly accomplishment reports.</li>\n<li>Support data collection for MEAL and donor reporting requirements.</li>\n<li>Ensure proper management of midwifery kits, medicines, and supplies.</li>\n<li>Support rapid health and maternal health assessments in emergencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Information, style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential criteria  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered Midwife with a valid PRC License.</li>\n<li>At least 2 years of experience in maternal and newborn care, preferably in RHU, lying-in clinic, hospital, or community setting.</li>\n<li>Experience in antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), safe delivery, newborn care, and routine immunization for children.</li>\n<li>Experience in family planning counseling and services</li>\n<li>Experience in Family Health Services and Information System (FHSIS)</li>\n<li>Ability to identify high-risk pregnancies and facilitate timely referrals.</li>\n<li>Experience working with Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and LGUs.</li>\n<li>Ability to conduct health education sessions for pregnant and lactating women.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and basic emergency obstetric and newborn care.</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain maternal and child health records and reports.</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to remote areas and work in emergency settings.</li>\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Commitment to humanitarian principles, safeguarding, and Do No Harm</li>\n<li>Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel).</li>\n<li>Fluency in any local dialects in BARMM, Filipino, and English.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable criteria  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in mobile health clinics or humanitarian response programs.</li>\n<li>Training in Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (BEmONC).</li>\n<li>Training in Essential Newborn Care, Breastfeeding Promotion, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), and National Immunization Program.</li>\n<li>Experience in nutrition screening for pregnant and lactating women and children through MUAC.</li>\n<li>Experience supporting routine immunization programs across all ages as prescribed in the National Immunization Program. </li>\n<li>Experience in ECHO-funded, UNICEF, DOH, or other donor-funded projects.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of MEAL reporting and data collection tools (Kobo, ODK).</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the local language in the project area.</li>\n<li>Experience working with vulnerable and disaster-affected
