    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Vertiv is hiring a Product Quality Engineer in Huntsville AL who will be responsible for ensuring quality across the full lifecycle of datacenter appliances and systems, with a dual focus on <strong>New Product Introduction (NPI)</strong> and <strong>Engineer-to-Order (ETO)</strong> project support. This role leads advanced quality planning activities, defines product release criteria, and ensures compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements from development through post-launch.</p>\n<p>The engineer acts as the key quality interface between cross-functional teams—Engineering, Operations, Service, and external suppliers—and supports both proactive quality planning and reactive issue resolution. Responsibilities include managing quality documentation (e.g., FMEAs, control plans, PPAPs), conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective/preventive actions, and coordinating on-site quality support when necessary. The role also captures and analyzes Voice of the Customer data to drive continuous improvement and enhance long-term product reliability and performance.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>New Product Development introduction (NPDi) Quality</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead <strong>Advanced Product Quality Planning</strong> (APQP) activities from concept through production launch.</li>\n   <li>Develop and own the <strong>Quality Assurance Plan</strong>, defining release criteria, KPIs, and metrics.</li>\n   <li>Support <strong>Contract Manufacturer (CM)</strong> selection and lead qualification activities.</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to create and approve quality control documents: \n    <ul>\n     <li>PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Capability, Work Instructions, etc.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Perform <strong>Product-level PPAP assessment</strong> and provide final approval for release readiness.</li>\n   <li>Assess and validate product <strong>Launch Readiness</strong> for both internal and external manufacturing partners.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Post-Launch &amp; Sustaining Quality</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead cross-functional issue triage and resolution activities for customer-reported concerns.</li>\n   <li>Drive <strong>root cause analysis (RCA)</strong> and implement <strong>corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)</strong>.</li>\n   <li>Maintain real-time issue tracking and drive closure of systemic quality issues.</li>\n   <li>Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams to enable continuous improvement.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Voice of the Customer (VoC)</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Aggregate and analyze VoC data from multiple sources: \n    <ul>\n     <li>Warranty claims, service reports, customer complaints, surveys, etc.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Conduct issue trending and risk analysis to identify areas of improvement.</li>\n   <li>Lead corrective action projects to resolve systemic issues in product design or process.</li>\n   <li>Influence design changes by embedding lessons learned from field and manufacturing feedback.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree</strong> in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.</li>\n <li><strong>5–7 years</strong> of experience in a product quality, reliability engineering, or NPDi role.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in <strong>datacenter devices</strong> or similar high-reliability, high-complexity products.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp;
