JNS also produces video programming, podcasts, and innovative multimedia content designed to inform, engage, and inspire audiences worldwide.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position Overview</p>\n<p>Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) is seeking an experienced a Vice President of Development, a senior member of the department, to expand and strengthen its fundraising efforts across North America, ensuring the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This senior role will be responsible for driving significant philanthropic revenue, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and legacy organizations, and developing strategic fundraising initiatives in close partnership with organizational leadership.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<p>Major Gift Fundraising: Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to secure major gifts (typically $50,000+).</p>\n<p>Donor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, personalized donor relationships through regular communication, in-person and virtual meetings, and thoughtful stewardship. Manage an active portfolio of approximately 100–150 prospects.</p>\n<p><br>Fundraising Strategy &amp; Campaigns: Lead and execute fundraising initiatives, including special events, targeted campaigns, and digital engagement strategies to broaden and deepen the donor base.</p>\n<p><br>Development Communications: Partner with the Content team to craft compelling proposals, pitch materials, and case-for-support messaging that clearly communicates JNS’s mission, impact, and growth vision.</p>\n<p><br>Leadership &amp; Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, board members, and internal teams to align development efforts with organizational priorities. Provide mentorship and guidance to development staff as needed. This role does not have management responsibilities at this time, however as the department grows, there are likely to be opportunities to lead.</p>\n<p><br>CRM &amp; Performance Management: Utilize fundraising and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach.io) to ensure accurate donor tracking, pipeline management, and reporting against revenue goals and key metrics.</p>\n<p><br>Qualifications</p>\n<p>Experience: Minimum of 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a demonstrated record of securing major gifts and achieving ambitious revenue targets.</p>\n<p><br>Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.</p>\n<p><br>Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, strong relationship-building ability, and high intercultural awareness.</p>\n<p><br>Knowledge: Deep understanding of donor stewardship, fundraising best practices, current philanthropy trends, and regulatory compliance.</p>",
