    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p>This is a 1st Shift position: 5:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday</p><p>Location: Plant 1</p><p>1265 Bruce St. Conway, AR</p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Safety Statement:</strong></p><p>This is a safety sensitive position.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p><p>Performs MIG welding. &nbsp;Will be working in the metal shop department welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products, parts, etc. according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products prior to welding.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Verifies conformance of work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Works under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex technical problems and issues.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Attend regular scheduled safety meetings.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Utilizes PPE while performing welding operations to include an apron or front covering for torso protection.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Works overtime as assigned.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>At least four to five years of MIG/TIG welding experience or equivalent combination of experience and Trade School training.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to read blueprints or layouts.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to multi-task</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to use the tape measure.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to pass a practical welding test.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Good communication skills, good basic mathematical skills, and good analytical abilities. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Good teamwork skills, meet quality requirements, flexible, and able to meet and maintain performance standards.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be flexible with required working hours, including overtime.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be flexible within the department and willing to flex to other departments as needed.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><p>Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds to shoulder level. &nbsp;Occasionally bend and stoop. &nbsp;Must be able to withstand a minimum of 8 to 10 hours standing on a concrete surface. Must wear applicable and proper protective equipment including, but not limited to: welding hood, protective eye and/or hearing equipment, and long sleeves to safely perform job duties. Will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, dust, heat, cold, gas, and/or fumes. &nbsp;Must be able to adjust physically to normal plant environmental conditions (above moderate heat and cold) and to adapt quickly to physical applications requiring varying motor skills.</p><p>This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
