As an <br>Automotive Refinishing Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to <br>our automotive refinishing professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations in our refinishing <br>department, maintaining equipment and materials, and assisting in the refinishing process. This role requires a strong <br>knowledge of automotive refinishing techniques, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining <br>high-quality standards we encompass here at Stuckey Automotive<br>Responsibilities:<br>1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to automotive refinishing professionals in the use of <br>refinishing equipment, tools, and materials. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the refinishing <br>process.<br>2. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and calibration of refinishing equipment, <br>including spray guns, paint mixing systems, and drying booths. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or <br>repair needs.<br>3. Material Management: Assist in the management and organization of refinishing materials, including paints, <br>primers, clear coats, and related supplies. Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials in <br>accordance with safety regulations.<br>4. Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, masking, and cleaning. Ensure <br>surfaces are smooth, free of contaminants, and ready for paint application.<br>5. Paint Mixing and Application: Assist in the preparation and mixing of paints, primers, and clear coats according to <br>manufacturer guidelines and color specifications. Apply paint materials to vehicles, ensuring an even and smooth <br>finish.<br>6. Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished paint jobs to ensure they meet quality standards and <br>customer specifications. Identify and address any imperfections or defects, performing necessary touch-ups or <br>refinishing as required.<br>7. Safety Compliance: always Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work <br>environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when handling hazardous <br>materials.<br>8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any relevant observations or <br>issues. Experience: Ideally, Minimum of 2 years of hands-on <br>experience in automotive refinishing, including surface <br>preparation, paint mixing, and application.
