    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<table>\n\t<tbody>\n\t\t<tr>\n\t\t\t<td>The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing initial patient evaluations, plans/implements treatment programs, monitors patient's progress towards treatment goals, directly communicates with referring physicians, and documents and completes daily charge tickets.<br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>Job Relationships</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>Reports to the Director of Physical Therapy</font><br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>Principal Responsibilities</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>Perform evaluation procedures including: range of motion, circumferential measurements of body parts, neurological and manual muscle testing, motor developmental assessment, and analysis of posture, gait, and functional activities.<br/>\n\t\t\tInterpret evaluation results to determine the degree of impairment, aid in differential diagnoses, and assist in establishing and revising the specifics of treatment.<br/>\n\t\t\tPlan treatment programs based upon the patient's complaint , physician referral, review of medical records, and evaluation results.<br/>\n\t\t\tSet appropriate goals for treatment to relieve pain, restore function, and prevent disability.<br/>\n\t\t\tRule out contra-indications to treatment and recommend necessary changes.<br/>\n\t\t\tPerform electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, traction and massage techniques following established procedures and within limits set by patient condition and tolerance.<br/>\n\t\t\tAdminister therapeutic exercises to improve posture, strength, range of motion, coordination, and endurance.<br/>\n\t\t\tProvide fitting and application of recommended orthotic devices.<br/>\n\t\t\tInstruct patients in the use of assistive devices and physical therapy procedures to be continued at home.<br/>\n\t\t\tMonitor the effects of treatment and modify techniques to achieve maximum benefit.<br/>\n\t\t\tDocument initial evaluation and progress report for patient's medical record.<br/>\n\t\t\tVerbally report progress or changes in the patient's condition to the referring physician as appropriate.<br/>\n\t\t\tValidate treatment given for accurate completion of the charge ticket.<br/>\n\t\t\tProvide input or timely scheduling for patients.<br/>\n\t\t\tProvide direction and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants and other supportive personnel.<br/>\n\t\t\tMaintain professional mannerism.<br/>\n\t\t\tMaintain clean, neat, orderly work environment.<br/>\n\t\t\tAttempt to provide for patient comfort and modesty.<br/>\n\t\t\tCommunicate tactfully in person or by telephone.<br/>\n\t\t\tEconomically utilize supplies.<br/>\n\t\t\tHelp to maintain equipment and notify the Director of problems.<br/>\n\t\t\tDemonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures codes.<br/>\n\t\t\tFile incident reports for any event in which the individual or facility might be subject to liability.<br/>\n\t\t\tNotify the Director of any situation, which warrants consideration beyond the Staff Physical Therapist's duties and responsibilities.<br/>\n\t\t\tPerform other job duties as assigned.<br/>\n\t\t\tComply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.<br/>\n\t\t\tAdhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training &amp; accomplishments as required per policy.<br/>\n\t\t\tProvide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.</font><br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>Education/Experience</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.</font><br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>Licenses/Certificates</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>Licensed by the State of Illinois.<br/>\n\t\t\tPreferred to be a member of the American Physical Therapy Association but is not required.<br/>\n\t\t\tCPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.</font><br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>Working Environment</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>Extensive walking, standing, kneeling and heavy lifting.</font><br/>\n\t\t\t<br/>\n\t\t\t<strong><font>PHI/Privacy Level</font></strong><br/>\n\t\t\t<font>HIPAA1</font></td>\n\t\t</tr>\n\t</tbody>\n</table>\n",
