    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Part Handling Technician. This role is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant movement of composite parts across the Joby Production area at the Marina, CA campus. A Part Handing Technician ensures parts are transported without damage, contamination, or safety risk while meeting standard lead times to support uninterrupted production flow. Joby Aviation is dedicated to training and developing individuals with potential, attention to details, and continuous improvement mindset.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>1st shift Monday - Thursday: 7am-5:30pm2nd shift Monday-Thursday: 5:30pm-4:00am3rd shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Safely move composite parts, tools, and fixtures between buildings, work centers, and storage locations across the Marina, Ca campus. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols, lifting requirements, and traffic rules to prevent injury and part damage. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Meet defined standard lead times for part movement to support production schedules. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify part identification, routing, and documentation prior to transport. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Protect parts from FOD, environmental exposure, and handling damage during movement. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Use material handling equipment (dedicated vehicles, carts, dollies, forklifts, etc.) in accordance with training and certification. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to prioritize urgent or time‑critical moves. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Report and escalate safety concerns, damaged parts, or process deviations immediately. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain organized staging, storage, and transit areas to support 5S standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support audits and continuous improvement efforts related to material flow and safety. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to all EHS requirements and Joby safety policies at all times. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain composite handling best practices to avoid dents, delamination, and contamination. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with applicable composite process specifications and handling standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver large or delicate composite parts weighing up to 50lbs aided or unaided.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and problem-solving skills.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reliable attendance and ability to meet time‑sensitive commitments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, detailed blueprints and other similar authorized drawings and documents and be capable of doing basic mathematical calculations.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience handling composite or aerospace components. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Forklift, crane, or material handling equipment certification. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S environments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Comfortable working indoors and outdoors across the Marina campus/ </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in a high-volume production environment that relies on a well-defined process to achieve maximum efficiency.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>The target base pay for this position is $18-$32/hr.
