    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Huntington University has an opening for an Assistant Professor of Agriculture. &nbsp;</p><p>Teaching responsibilities will include a range of undergraduate courses in either animal science or crop science, depending on the candidate&rsquo;s area of expertise. Additional responsibilities may include supervising crop production or livestock care, as appropriate. Faculty members are also expected to advise students and contribute through service on University committees.</p><p><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></p><ul><li>Must have a strong personal Christian commitment and faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others</li><li>Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating students to impact our world for Christ</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and external agricultural organizations.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of Christian higher education, preferred</li><li>Excellent communications skills</li><li>A doctoral degree in an agricultural discipline is preferred; candidates with a master&rsquo;s degree and significant relevant professional experience will also be considered.</li><li>Extensive experience in agriculture.</li><li>Prior successful university-level teaching experience is preferred.</li></ul><p><u>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES</u></p><ul><li>Teaching load of 24 hours per academic year.
