The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, professional, and experienced with plant operation and maintenance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Know and follow company start and stop procedures</li>\n <li>Performs daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens</li>\n <li>Keeps walkways clear of any debris and reports spillage issues to superintendent</li>\n <li>Performs daily guarding inspections and plant checks and reports any maintenance issues to superintendent</li>\n <li>Inspects screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production</li>\n <li>Keeps operating booth clean and free from any inappropriate materials</li>\n <li>Carries out duties and work procedures to meet production schedules</li>\n <li>Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of quarry operations and work crew</li>\n <li>When needed/required assists workers in solving production problems</li>\n <li>Fills out necessary paperwork daily</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) OR one month of related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Basic mechanical abilities</li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Leadership and teamwork skills</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and organized</li>\n <li>Safety-focused</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ months of related experience and/or training</li>\n <li>Experience with equipment maintenance</li>\n <li>Experience with loader operations</li>\n <li>Experience with Q329 caterpillar trackhoe and LT105 portable crusher</li>\n <li>MSHA or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to sit</li>\n <li>Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or fell, and reach with hands and arms</li>\n <li>Frequently required to talk and hear</li>\n <li>Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n <li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities including distance, peripheral, and depth perception</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>H&K Group, Inc.’s <strong>Locust Ridge Quarry</strong> has been producing a full line of construction aggregate and asphalt materials from our key Pocono Lake, PA location since 1981.
