You’ll be supporting a business that helps bring weddings, corporate events, community events, and high-impact experiences to life, while operating within the systems, standards, and support of Expo Centric.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>🌐 Learn more about The Event Mill:<br><a href=\"https://www.theeventmill.com.au/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://www.theeventmill.com.au/</a></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>🔍 What You’ll Do</p>\n<ul>\n<li>As our AU Accountant, you’ll manage and support the full spectrum of accounting and financial processes for The Event Mill, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial governance under the Expo Centric group.</li>\n<li>Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining ledgers and financial records</li>\n<li>Accurately record and categorise financial transactions in Xero</li>\n<li>Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer billing</li>\n<li>Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments</li>\n<li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger accounts, and multi-currency accounts</li>\n<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements</li>\n<li>Prepare financial statements and summaries for internal and external stakeholders</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with Australian financial legislation and internal policies</li>\n<li>Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Support internal and external audit processes through documentation and assistance</li>\n<li>Present financial insights and reports to management when required</li>\n<li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems and reporting processes</li>\n<li>Support finance processes across event hire, event management, supplier payments, customer billing, and project-related financial tracking</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>✅ What You Bring</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field</li>\n<li>CA or CPA qualification, highly regarded</li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Australian accounting or finance role</li>\n<li>Strong proficiency in Xero, essential</li>\n<li>Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe and managing multi-currency accounts, highly regarded</li>\n<li>Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel</li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time-management skills</li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li>\n<li>Clear communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders</li>\n<li>Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team</li>\n<li>Experience in events, hospitality, hire, venues, or project-based businesses, highly regarded</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>🌟 Why Join The Event Mill?</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be part of a respected WA events business delivering memorable, high-quality event experiences</li>\n<li>Work under the broader Expo Centric group, with access to established systems, leadership, and operational support</li>\n<li>Contribute to a creative, fast-moving business where strong financial management directly supports event delivery</li>\n<li>Work in a supportive, values-driven environment with clear systems and processes</li>\n<li>Receive ongoing mentoring from senior leaders and access performance-based growth opportunities</li>\n<li>Join a growing group where your financial expertise directly shapes outcomes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ready to Apply?</span></p>\n<p>Submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining how your experience aligns with this role.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>🌐 www.theeventmill.com.au</p>",
